Acrylic tank scratches

Has anyone tried to remove scratches from an acrylic tank? I have just a few, in one area, and when I put in a new light (Finnex planted plus) the scratches really seem to show up. I am getting a new stand soon, and will have to disassemble the tank to set it up, and thought that might be a good time to address those scratches. My husband uses Novus on his motorcycle acrylic windshield, and it is labeled for aquarium use. Has anyone tried anything that worked/didn't work? Thanks!
