Canister Filter sucking air

Was curious on some tips on how to get my canister filter to quit sucking air, Once every couple of hours my canister makes a funny noise and spits out a bunch of air bubbles. I am sure this is being cause by getting into where the levels attach, any tips would be helpful. Thanks

if its like mine, you can tilt the canister so that the outlet is at the highest point, forcing the air out... if it keeps sucking air, you'll need to figure out where it's sucking it from. I put duct tape over the hose on the connections on my eheim 2224, my fluvals dont have anywhere the air could get in at though
