Circulation suggestions pls

Im looking to increase the circulation in my 20 gallon (long) freshwater aquarium. Right now its only getting whatever circulation the HOB filter is giving it, which isnt that much considering the number of dead spots that gunk builds up in.

Id be grateful for suggestions on what kind of circulation pump to get. Price isnt my primary concern, though Id rather not break the bank either.

Size and reliability/functionality are important. Since its not that big of a tank, small yet efficient are what Im looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just got a couple of these for my indoor winter pond plant hydroponic setup:

They seem pretty good quality and I especially like the magnetic suction cups.

No, those are the bigger ones. The one I pictured is the Pico Evo-Mag - more appropriate for a 20 gallon tank.
