continous overflow?? is this a good one

I need a get a 2nd overflow with this rating and not sure if this is a good deal or not.

Im not likin the U tube so far...have had mine up for about a month and I need to clean mine cause its looking nasty. I was suggested to get 2 U tubes...does this increase the flow? or is it just for a fail safe?

I have that overflow. I think I'm pushing about 300gph through it and it seems to do well (though it took some adjusting to get it to hang on the tank at just the right spot so that it would flow fast enough. It more than keeps up now but I haven't tried a 600gph ph with it so I couldn't tell you if it could really push that much water through. The airline tube I stuck in the supply water bin after I primed it by sucking the air out of it and it has held suction in spite of turning it on and off. Some people put air lifters on them.

I just need a small 2nd overflow so i can increase my return pumps to get more flow

Newer versions have changed the plexiglas from smoke to solid black to preven any light from getting in the siphon area and growing stuff.
