new canister slowing down

I got a Hydor prime 10 canister filter about 2 months ago and I cleaned it for the first time three days ago. It is pushing out water noticeably slower now. Is there something wrong with it? Is there anything I can add that will make it go faster?

Also, I'm noticing particulates in the water

How well did you clean it out? did you clean out the tubing for it as well, or just the media inside the canister filter? It also may be that you need to disassemble and clean out the impeller assembly also. You may have gunked up or lodged some debris in a critical area while you were cleaning it also, which you could look for.
