Does anyone have one of these? Im looking at the 29g for SW. What are the pros and cons? Can you turn the filter into a refugium?

I know the hqi model you can. but i was looking at the other model. I was curious because i read that the filters need replacing alot

I have the regular old 29g biocube. i took out the bio ball thingees and pout a media rack and a fuge in that spot. heres the link

I love the cube. It's pretty much got everything included and is well made. I have the stand too and it's awesome, lots of room and sturdy.

The only thing I bought were those media/fuge tray and an extra powerhead, a Koralia 425.

You can also keep a good selection of corals with the stock lights. I'd stay away from SPS and anemones though.

If you've got the extra money you might wanna get the biocube with the metal halide light. You could keep everything then including anaemones once your tank has matured enough. But if you're on a budget the the stock cube is a good way to go.
