Someone give me some advice on how to get my overflow box to siphon or why it may not be siphoning

How are you trying to get a siphon? I used to insert a air hose up and into the curve at top and then you juts suck the air out. 
It should stay and keep the siphon.

Yep..you have to use a tube to remove all the air from the syphon tube.
