rimless tanks

Any opinions or experiance with rimless tanks? Thinking of buying 80 gallon cube 24*24*30h or 70 gallon 30*30*17h.

Rimless tanks look slick. I would love to have rimless for my next tank. They also do just as well as rimmed tanks.

The glass is usually thicker and you'll need to clean the stand really well and probably lay a thin piece of foam down before you put the tank in place. Otherwise they're pretty similar to rimmed tanks.

my osaka155 is 41g seamless wraparound glass is 8mm thick and much heavier than my 55gs. it is 24lx18wx24h but it has brushed aluminum trim. it needs a foam pad to set it on. very nice i think, by rim you mean trim? maybe not what you are talking about...
