Top Fathom Skimmer?? Good Buy ??

I'm a newbie and Id like to get some feedback on Top Fathoms venturi protein skimmer TF100A. Is it a good used buy?
I have a 44 gallon tank.

Never heard of it, but that doesn't mean anything!

Looking at it on the web, it looks like a Mom/Pop shop makes them from scratch. Looks like a standard design. Whether or not its a good buy probably depends on the price... and why the original owner is getting rid of it!

the price is $40 dunno, about the selling reason i will definaltey inquire before purchase.

Kinda much for a 44g IMO. Isn't it rated for 100g?

True, would it hurt it at all?

also could i run a 27g tank with the 44g on one skimmer? this might be janky i know but is is possible?

Whaddya mean? A 27g sump w/skimmer on the 44g? I think it would work. Gonna be about 50 odd gallons of water on a 100g skimmer. Ya know the sump cannot be full, right?

What sized pump for the skimmer?
