Feeding baby platys? Some advice?

I have been feeding a small amount of hikari first bites three times a day. The tank has java moss so the babies can eat microorganisms (and also hide and be comfortable) Someone at the lfs said that I can put a weekend feeder in there for them to munch on while I'm at work and between meals. Has anyone ever done that? I want them to grow as quickly as possible because my platy will probably drop again in a month or so and I'll need the fry tank again. Can they get big enough to go in the 29 gallon in a month?

the feeders would pollute the water too much. I just crush flakes VERY fine for my fry to eat.

I do the same as WaterPond, crush up flake food very fine for fry.
