My pair of Gold Angelfish spawned today on a leaf.

I haven't decided yet if I will move the eggs to a separate place because I don't really have a place to raise the fry or the growing fish.

Given this, what should I do if I decide I can't keep them? Just let them develop and let the other fish take care of them?

Leave them and nature will take care of itself. Chances are, the parents will eat them. If they get stressed due to other fish in the tank, this normally happens.

Thanks. I at least put a filter cover on my intake so they won't get sucked up into the filter.

And there are other fish in the tank, right now the pair are chasing them off.

This is my first spawn - it was quite a thrill and surprise!

I didn't do anything out of the ordinary in my routine.

I did notice a couple of weeks ago that they were fighting - locking mouths together.

I guess that was the foreplay! 8)

Unfortunate news...when I came in today all the eggs were gone. I can only assume the angelfish ate them.

Oh well, maybe next time...
