Have i got eggs?

I'm cycling a new tank and i've just noticed this peculiar looking thing.

In the tank there has previously been 3 german rams (dead), 3 mollies and a pleco.

I think they are pleco eggs but i am not sure.

What do you think, i need advice too...

I've read i need a male in order for them to be fertlised so i've nothing to worry about

Its been cleaned off what ever it is, how could it be mold?

It just occurs on tanks I have a whole lot of it on a piece of wood in my 45 it's harmless

There are a number of moulds and other things that have spores in air always, which means they enter water anywhere, and multiply if conditions are right for them. That's how some algaes get in as well, and bacteria, viruses, etc. Water is not nearly as 'empty' as it looks.

Nothing to overly worry about then, its strange as it just appeared overnight..
