How Can You Tell? - Aquarium Advice

I think I might have a pregnent Tiger barb but I can't tell. How do you know on them and how do you know if a male and female mate?

A male will have a redder nose and redder fins. They will lay eggs in bushy plants. Once they are done they will eat their eggs as fast as they layed them.
