Sexing gold gourami help!!

Okay I sent my Mom on a run to get me a male gold gourami and she got me a male as I think. It's dorsal fin is rounded but pointed, my female is just round with a curve. I took about an hour last hour trying to sex them and all the sites said "males got pointed dorsals as females got rounded dorsals" he is kinda young but about 1/2 inches so do you guys think he is a male

Also forgot to say the males dorsal fin is more narrow as the females that is more fatter
