Ok so ive never really bred fish before but when I looked into my tank today I found some incredbly tiny fish that were the result of my giant danios breeding. I would imagine they wont survive on their own? If not what should I do with them?

Is it a community tank? Are you able to capture them easily without stressing them out too much?

If you can retrieve the fry without stressing them to death, then I would try to isolate them in a breeder box for the time being until they're not bite-sized.

Yes it is a community tank and I would be able to use a turkey blaster to get them out. What then would I feed them?

You can crush up either, fish flakes, bloodworms (fried dryed), brine shrimp, or a mixture of any of the above. I feed mine bloodworms and flakes

Wow - they are tiny then! I would use Hikari First bites or baby brine shrimp. You can find both on Amazon.com, and most pet stores have the powdered food (Hikari).

If they still have their yolk sacs, then you have a wee window to get the food they need. Often, they are too small for the brine shrimp at first, so the Hikari powder might be a good starting place. There are some posts online about making a liquid fry food, but I'm not sure if you want to go that route.

Good luck with the new babies!!

Ok thank y'all and also im not seeing near as many fry as I should. Online I read that they lay 300 eggs and I only have a small handful of fry. Have some of them not hatched yet? I know they could have been eaten but the ones I collected were ignored by the other fish
