So yesterday there was romance, my gourami spawned. I removed the female last night and then removed the male today.
Floating in the best are eggs, but they are looking sort of furry and cloudy...
Am I right to assume that they are no good.
The last time my other pair spawned I had wrigglers within 24hrs. :-(

You should have left the male with the nest!
He will tend to things until the eggs hatch, even after usually.

I normally would, but he was stressing out.

If your eggs before hatched this way then just play it out.
I have left both parents in heavily(I mean thickkk!) planted tanks to find 2 spawns upon parent removal!
I am working with pearls now.

This tank has a few good plants, floating ones as well, but not enough I don't think. Poor female had a rough time, when I removed her I realised just how badly he had beaten her up. Her tail is in tatters. :-(
He was freaking out so much that the few eggs that looked to be hatching he killed. I thought he was collecting them to put them back in the best, but he wasn't gentle enough and when he spat them out, they fell to the bottom dead.
I think he's just not a good dad. :-(
Inexperienced maybe.
I was just so lucky with my last male, he made beautiful nests and doted on the eggs and wrigglers..
I'll give them a few weeks to chill and maybe try again.
