Hello,
I have a fish tank with 2 platys and 3 danios.
I have an issue. i believe one of the platys is pregnant (only have one female.)
How could i make a home made fry trap for them to grow in for a while?
i was thinking of one of those plastic bottle ones?

Could they grow in the trap permenantly until they grow big and strong enough to stand up against the other fish?
i dont really have a big enough tank for a actual breeder trap.
could i just let it bob in the water would that be okay?

You could make a baby trap out of a 2L bottle or something similar. Cut it in half, poke a bunch of small holes in the bottle for flow, attach it to the side of the tank, and add the fry.

Is that alright then??
I meant like a 2L coke bottle type size.
just until they grow big enough to face the other fish without being eaten .

Thanks for your replies.
I will do this tonight i think, then its ready for her.
not sure when to put her in without stressing her though any ideas? i'm new to breeding. Sorry.
