I have been keeping all sort of freshwater fish since an early age...
Love cichlids ( south American).
I've joint this site after reading several article and now need some help to set a new fish
Tank.
Nice to meet you all and hope we can help eatch other in solving the cazillions problems we go trhue to keep our little( sometimes not so little!!) Finned friends.

Hi, the set up will be a planted aquarium Adana stile, carpet substrate, 3 to 5 rocks, maybe few long leaf plants and bog wood almost cover in moss and fern...
O2 injection, a three stage HMA water filter.
The lighting will consist of 3 cfl, 2T8 timed to switch on on different time individually to simulate the sun's daily cicle... I'm planning to use a reflector for the main bulb that absorb light when bulb is on and continue to glow for a few hours simulating moon light....
Canopy will be made of Corian ( high polished black with 2 pc fans....
I'm getting over exited!!!!
Two external filter to do the in-flow and out-flow of a 55 gallon sump filter refugium.
The FISHES!!!
Discus, terra and two motoro or similar stingrays...

Stingrays and planted carpet as a substrate?
Having some thoughts about theirs soft bellies...

For the Co2 will start with 2x1gallon DIY sistems using champagne yeast and shugar,
Will buy 2 ADA glass diffusers...
Hope will be efficient enough.
