Has anyone ever had any experience using this?

Setting up a new aquarium: Ammonia Removal: One And Only Nitrifying Bacteria by Dr Tim's Aquatics

I know that beneficial bacteria starters normally do not work, so if this one doesn't are there any that do?

I saw it on DFS, and I know that they are usually reliable, that's why I ask.

I would not gauge reliability with a store's product list. They are in business to make money, and nothing else.
I can't tell you this product is bad or good, but if you watch this video, Bacteria in a Bottle: Snake Oil or Worth Trusting?
you will see him tell us that everyone up until now has been using the wrong bacteria in their tanks and this is the right bacteria, which is not true. I think I could find thousands of fish keepers that will dispute that claim. Also, they did the test in the video with that big tank and only 2 tiny fish. Hardly proof IMO.

Thanks for the heads-up. I think I will just stick to a normal fish less cycle (which I hope will go fairly quickly because of my LR).

I have used it twice. Once on a 20 gallon long and once on my 40 gallon breeder. Works great! I will use when I get my 90 gallon tank!

As for Mr. Trim's ....they are the best bacteria in a bottle out there. This is verified by acouple reefers i know that have been doing this for quite a few years.

Now as far as better or worse than doing a fishless cycle, thats up in the air. Do your own research and come to a conclusion. Personaly ive gone fishless cycle to build up my bacteria
