Ok so I picked up the harlequin rasboras. I started with 9 lost two randomly so now I am down to 7. Should I try and up those numbers at all or is 7 okay as long as I dont lose anymore? And I dont know what happened to the 2 that passed they seemed fine. They were eating and swimming just fine and then I one died and then the next day another. I am hoping I dont lose anymore. I absolutely love them!! They are still rather small though.

Yeah thank goodness I haven't lost anymore! Knock on wood! They don't really school at all though. I only see them group up with 2 or three every once in a while. Is there a reason behind that?

Hi, re the snails you have that you want to get rid of, I had same problem and bought 3 assassin snails and within days all the others were gone, also assassins are better looking than common snails as they are black with yellow stripes, only small so pretty unobtrusive, def worth getting IMO.

Will the assassins eat my big apple snails though? Thats where my dilemma is. I dont want to lose my big apple snails :/

Assassins can kill apple snail's, I,ve seen them work together too kill one just be careful if you buy any :)

Yikes lol I have a ton of baby apple snails that I want gone I just dont want to lose the adults ughhh lol...Is there a humane way to get rid of the baby apple snails by chance?

Not that I know off, will nobody buy them off you? Your lfs? They might give you a credit note for them. :)

I have gotten rid of a bunch of mine on here!! And I traded some for some assassins and they have gotten rid of all my hitch hikers and haven't seen them bother my other snails:)

I might try and advertise them on here than! I wish the loaches wouldnt eat my big apple snails I really have been wanting a few now! GR! Now that my platys are gone I want something to add a splash of color to the tank. Any suggestions? In the tank now are 3 mollies 3 otos and 7 rasboras so something that will work with them would be nice! :)

I definitely want some neon tetras. But I also want a few bigger fish that are colorful. Any ideas?

I do love their colors but I dont like those things that hang out under them...lol I am weird! I am thinking about a single angel but I dont want it to try and eat my rasboras.

Mine don't bother my harliquins. Get it as a juvie. My lfs gets theirs from a local breeder and I got both of mine when they were about the size of a quarter.

Yeah I think I might go for an angel. Would I be able to get two or just the single one?

How about tiger barbs? I know they can be nippy and what not but would that be a big issue with the mollies or rasboras? I am just trying to see what some options are! :)

Maybe if I yell at the barbs when they are bad they will be good! hahaha I will train em like my dogs! (which are not good either lmao) but okay ya I think I am gunna go with the angels. I have always loved them. So 2 in a 40 gallon would be ok?? If I got the angels small enough would they work with some neons? I know they say if you get them small but a lot of people say they will still eat them...
