Wanted to know u guys meanest or most dominant cichlid. It is a difference b/c my meanest is my male auratus but most dominant is my red zebra he never gets chased but does a lot of chasing lol. And the male auratus gets chased although he's mean to certain fish.

Mine would be my Cichlisoma Festae (Red Terror) :) not many cichlids will top that one lol.

Lol yea I bet compaired to small mbuna but I bet a mean enough big enough mbuna could hold its own

Mine had to be re homed.

It was a albino red zebra (Metriaclima Pyrsonotos)

It became hyper dominate and killed 20 fish under the dark of night. (Serious)

Mine is a toss up between my dominate male featae in my 75 or my dominate male beani in my 55. I'd put either one of these guys up against any African it's own size any day. Down right mean little guys.

Most Africans cpildnt hold their own against any sa cichlid IMO hell I can almost Bey one on one a convict would shred any African cichlid

Obviously I have jack, and I bet one in a tank full of mbuna like auratus or kenyi it wouldn't last.

This argument is silly since aggression is relative to specific tankmates and tank size, if a angelfish is kept with neons then said angelfish eats the neons then its the most aggressive cichlid I own but take that same angelfish and toss it in with Parachromis dovii...well you know how the story ends.

Well I think convicts kick butt. I have two with fry and they are run all of my other fish mad. My green torror is three times the size of them and he runs from them

Wen I first started out not knowing they were incompatible put a mating pair of convicts in my mbuna tank and they killed one and I rehomed the other so u know my stance on convicts.

And my dominant fish in my tank is actually my female convict suprisingly and I have a jack Dempsey in there and I know its an African shhhhhh but I have a red jewel too who is dominant over the jack for now but not the convict lol

Had a green terror that ended up tearing shreds of my Oscar who was twice the size of the terror lol. Ended up having to take him back to the store and exchange to a more docile tank mate.

Here is the culprit
