If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Well my skills as a craftsman suck! So I found a local place that sold the stock stand and I picked it up along with 40 gallons of premixed saltwater and am at the end of my cycle! I might go get my first fish today! Thanks for everyone's help!

I'm starting to think that my Biocube is getting crowded. Once I installed my custom sump everything started to grow like crazy. Thoughts?

Is that a huge hammer in front left? Holy cow! I would try to frag some of that and sell them to the LFS for cash or store credit, then buy some new corals for the space youll have. Those nems are huge too. Haha. They seem very happy.

Yeah that's a huge hammer... Hmmmm.... That's one huge hammer coral. I'd take it to the LFS see if they will take it. Thanks for posting in the information thread.

You might wanna post your own thread so it will get more views and you can get more opinions and advice.

Allow me to add to the information page, some of my more interesting Mods to my biocube are my AI LED light and custom sump. The AI light needed some slight modifications to the mount to fit but works great.

Nice! Could you post up some pics to share with them members? Maybe a little info on how you added the light and did your sump.

A small clip on fan blowing across the top of the water is usually enough. Audiew on here I'm sure will chime in he has one

I hope this post works how I want. I'm new so please be patient. Anyway, we had a problem with our tanks getting too hot with the halide last summer and putting a fan nearby helped a lot. It still wasn't quite enough on super hot days, but we did find that removing the glass and allowing the fan to blow over the water helped it cool off sufficiently. The only thing is that you will have to top off your tank with fresh water very frequently. I hope this helps anyone having that issue. Floating frozen bottles is a nice idea too. Never thought of that. Thanks for the tip!

You may also consider saving a little cabbage here and there so you can get into a cooler light. Such as an LED. Not only are they cooler temperature wise but they are cooler to own now more than ever.

It's all the rage, if you don't have an LED then you're just doing it old school. :ROFLMAO:

Haha! We have gone all LED since then, so this summer should prove a little more manageable. The LED strips my husband bought fit right into the existing "arm" that housed the original halide. He did have to gut it first though. It turned out very nice if I may say so myself. :)

Yeah I'd like to see. Only mod I've seen is the AI Nano in place if the metal halide. There's actually a video on YouTube.

Here ya go... (Fingers crossed it works)

Thx! The main is a panorama pro. The rest are stunners. Full details are in my profile. I'll give you a FTS after a scrub down.

Don't hold your breath. The rest isn't exciting... yet... :)

I look forward to everything. It gives me and I'm sure others to see something come to life! I like to see the bare bones and then the finished product. Makes you appreciate it more.

Make sense?
