125 gallon

Wanted to share my 125 gallon tank with everyone. Let me know what you think of it and what I should add or replace. I am wanting to get some more tinfoil barbs. Gold fish will be finding a new home today. And later on I want to get a fire eel I know I will need some sort of hiding spot for him. Maybe some other fish later down the road too but haven't decided what to get yet. I also have some drift wood I plan on putting in there also some time today.

The pictures I have seen I am not sure about the clown loaches but maybe next time seeing them at the LFS I will take a look at them.

Rearranged a little after putting the drift wood in.

That tank needs a monster piece of driftwood in the center!! It would look sick!! Some taller rocks would look really nice also.

I want to find a piece that is huge but haven't came across one yet. I have read that the tinfoil barbs like open areas to swim around but also like hiding areas and I read one another site they recommended to have plants and rocks on the edges of the tank so they can swim around since they are such an active swimmer.

Do you have two of the same thread? It's kinda confusing... You should ask a mod to merge them

I started one and then was browsing around and for whatever reason I did another one. I will have to check into maybe having the other deleted.

If it were me, tall rocks on each side and try and make some caves. A nice piece of driftwood in the center of slightly off center and if you have no lids you can had the wood coming out of the top to give it a sick look. Again just me :)

I have lids and will need them. Later down the road I would like to get a fire eel. I am going to do some research on building a huge rock cave for him so hopefully by then I can find that perfect huge piece of driftwood. Do you know of any good websites that sell driftwood?

Don't waste your money just yet. Look around any rivers, streams, brooks etc. you may find the perfect piece

I have thought about taking a walk down by the river this summer. But with a piece that big besides letting to soak and scrubbing it is there any other things I would have to do to get it ready.

Scrub it, boil it, if its too big you can soak it in hot hot water.

Here s my take on it . I d lose the fake plants & if u don t want real plants, add alot more rocks & driftwood . Love the ledge thing you did on the left. You could build a large mound on either end with a dark substrate too. But, it all comes down to personal choice & often, you start with one vision & end up with something entirely different. Just part of the creative process. But that s the fun part, well that & putting new fish in. <•)(((((><
