Ok so I transferred my 1 inch bass to a 5 gallon with two Cory's and a small danio...I finally got him to eat a small mosquito in his last tank, but I'm concerned with the move...it's his first time with a filter and he's still rather small....I want him to be able to eat, but he'll never see a mosquito on the surface with all the air bubbles...he's pretty picky when it comes to eating...live foods are all he takes so any suggestions on how to help me with this are greatly appreciated!

U might not want to keep the bass with the other fish when it gets bigger because it may try to eat the other fish

Yes I went for the carps and I caught two! I let them go because my tank is already crowded as is ;) also, they are largemouth bass so I'll try brine shrimp!

Sweet!
What did u use? Trap or net?
Largemouth bass should definitely eat brine shrimp. When they get bigger, u can feed them feeder fish or pellet food.

Yeah I used the minnow trap! It was great! And would frozen bloodworms be ok?

Ok so I'll be getting bloodworms hopefully this weekend, but would he eat ants by any chance? (No rhyme intended) we have loads of them here in Arizona! Also, I found him laying under some rocks a few minutes ago so I had to pull him out...is it possible he could have gotten stuck or could it be an illness? Thanks for all the info!

Lol. Got stuck under rock. Lol
I think he was just looking for food. I have never seen one of my fish get stuck under a rock before though. Was he moving under rock?

I feed my koi/goldfish/wild minnows with ants and any other insects I find. Ur bass will Prob eat them if he finds them.

Haha yeah I was like oh no where'd he go?!? Then I saw his tail moving and knew it was him....and ok I'll try to see if he'll take them!

Darn! He looks at it and quickly swims down! I have the most picky baby bass ever!! >:/ haha I swear he hates all food...

Haha no kidding! And he's eaten a mosquito but that's it! I can't seem to get many more Mosquitos but anything else is like not even considered...weird huh?

Like I've tried maggots...not small crickets though...I ought to give them a try!!
