Best cloud minnow tankmates ?

I'm getting a 10 gallon and I want some cloud minnows , but I want some other fish too , so what other fish will be fine with cloud minnows ? And how many minnows and other fish should I have in the 10 gallon ?

*rasbora heteromorpha danios work ?

I have danios multiple varieties and the get along and schoal with eachother and they get along surf my dwarf gourami, twin bar platy, and my ghost shrimp I'm pretty sure all danios are peaceful

I have a regular zebra danio , 3 Long fin zebras and 2 leopord and 2 gold danios

4 cloud minnows

3 rasbora heteromorpha danios

3 gallon bucket

10 gallon glass aquarium

Gravel vacuum

Power filter for 10 gallons

( I'll get decorations and gravel when I'm at the petstore )

It's going to be a minnow tank

The rosy reds may get large. I put some in a small (50g) ornamental preformed pond a few summers ago and they are doing fine...and growing. About double the size from when got them as feeder fish from one of the big box stores. I feed them occasionally but they seem find things to eat (they are always nibbling on the tank surfaces) plus it is full of snails, algae, moss. Over wintered no problem (Virginia). They share the pond with mosquito fish.

Minnows do really well with danio (I love longfinned danios, personally), guppy, small bodied neons and neon tetras as well as inverts (small) and fancy baby fantail goldfish (will need larger tank though, I just just got a show winning panda oranda from my mom that is fully grown and he's 10 inch)... Just make sure that it's tankmates' mouths aren't bigger than the minnows themselves...

There are several types of minnows out there; and they are very hearty... For a 10g of my own like this, I'd start with at the most a school of 5 dwarf cardinal neons, 3 naenus corycats and a mystery snail (plus your minnows, of course) and I'd add a couple of Anubis plants and a marimo moss ball, but that's just me.

Have you given up with the goldfish plans then? I'm sorry there wasn't the advice you wanted to hear with regards to them. I know how hard it is to imagine why on earth they'd need that much room. Seeing them all tiny in the shops, it's impossible to imagine how big they'll get. And they'd look so lost in a big tank at the beginning.
Have you thought about adding a heater and having a cool little nano community tank?

Oh , what are mosquito fish ?

Also, I would probably get a bigger filter, maybe one rated for 20 gallons. The bigger the filter the better IMO, just make sure the flow doesn't bother the fish.

Should I look for a different fish ? I've heard the rosy reds get 2 inches but than petsmart says they get 4

Ya , and that's okay , I can't have a 20 gallon anyway my mom won't let me , and I kind of want a community tank

Yeah I really wouldn't get rosey reds. I have a few from a mistake purchase a while ago and they have gotten about 3 inches. I'd get a more ornamental fish as well.
