I have a dream of a 250g planted community like the one I've been planning for a cousin opening a new office. Hopefully my wife will cave and let me get one of my own.

My starting stock would be:

20+ Cory cats
6 angels
3-5 cockatoo apistogramma
15-20 mosquito rasbora
Some bamboo shrimp

Plus. Plus

im setting up a 55 that i got from the dollar per gallon sale for some african cichlids once i buy the rest of the things i need and cycle. also starting a 75 gallon reef tank in november when i buy it from my dad just going to be some beginner corals and some hardy clownfish and gobies for my first saltwater

That's cool , Cory cats are cool

That's cool :) you could get one fancy gold fish ( not te single tailed ones ) if you want in the 29 gallon , or you could get some other awesome fish :)

In my other 29, I originally had barbs. The attitude of that tank was always on a razors edge and it was great. Now it's a community tank. I'd like to do barbs again.

Cool , I like barbs , they're cool but I don't have any

My tank is 23 gallons so my idea for my future tank is this:

Stock
2-3 platys
2-3 mollies
Ghost shrimp
1 Rubbernose Pleco

Tank
Freshwater
Sand bottom
Planted (java ferns and anubias)
And maybe a wavemaker for a gentle current but still undecided

Awesome :) I like java fern and Anubias , i would get some but I'm getting a snake soon so I need the money :/ but I'm excited :)

There are lots of nice big tanks I would love in the future, but in the near future I want to set up more betta spawning and grow out tanks, as well as more tanks for males. I plan on picking up a 40 breeder and a couple more 10s at the dollar per gallon sale later this week, and maybe a 20 long to move my marbled crays into!

That's would be cool , I have 2 bettas right now , I wish I could breed my white rosetail ( he's my profile picture ) , and too bad I don't live close to petco because I would probably pick up a 50 gallon to get an Oscar

Woo! My boyfriend texted me while I was at work to tell me he found a hexagonal tank at a thrift store for $35 with a stand! He says he thinks it's about 2 feet tall, so as far as I know it should be a 35 gallon. I'm sending him with the $35 tomorrow to see if they will hold it for us until I get my car running or until my neighbor can bring me to pick it up! Not sure what I will put in it.

Lucky! Endless possiblilitys

I'm just happy that when my boyfriend sees a tank he wants me to get it! I will probably use it for a male betta and some schooling fish or a nice angelfish if I can find one.

Good for you, hope it's still there. This proves your not crazy!

I might be getting a 125 gallon tank soon from someone who inherited it but knows nothing about fish and rescuing about 40 fish from the people I'm buying the tank from!

So you decided which one to get. Awesome, I hope everything goes well :)

I'd love to get a tank(s) large enough to hold; a black ghost knife, flowerhorn, discus, and elephant nose
I know that most/all can't go in the same tank so it'll be quite a while before I get around to it. And I'll have to quit some breeding projects to start any of these up.

I'd also like to do a reef tank one day. I'll have to get a much better job so I can afford all the equipment an fish before that can happen though.

For now I'm focusing on making some gorgeous show tanks. Heavily planted and aquascaped like you see in the contests. Lol if only I were a bit more artistic! My tanks now all look like overgrown jungles

Jungles are AWESOME! It's like have your own amazon in tank! I wish I had a tank like yours. My tank looks cheesy.
