She wants them acrylic. But i told her that will be more expensive
I was talking about the 600g, but acrylic is a lot more expensive. I've seen fifty gallon acrylic tanks for thousands of dollars.
I would never pay that much for a tank.
I was browsing craigslist and saw an ad for a 600 gallon acrylic tank for $3400. (If your in the market for one I can send you the link. This bad boy is 8 feet long, 4 feet deep and nearly 3 feet tall. If you could have this tank how would you set it up. Lets do freshwater only!

600 is acrylic as well. $3400 lol
I priced a 180 gallon tank today. Tank, hood, light, stand and filter : $1500. Is that to much, and is that enough room for 1 Umbee, 1 buttikoferi, 1 dovii and 1 jaguar managuense. ?

Not enough room for 1 umbee, let alone with tank mates, nor a dovii
Was not sure if this was real. Is the dovii the one that reaches 2ft

My post should have said I was not sure if that question was real or if they were kidding.Parachromis Dovii and Caquetaia umbrifera males both reach 24".
There's no way a 180 is large enough for either of those fish long term, that's why I mentioned at the beginning of this thread that the tank in question would be perfect for a pair of either.
$1200-1500 is pretty standard for a brand new 180g.
Got ya! I tweaked my post because I realized the 2nd half wasn't directed at you my bad!My post should have said I was not sure if that question was real or if they were kidding.

Serious..... I read that the Umbee and Dovii both reach 2ft. plus give or take an inch Jag about 18". Not enough room. Whats enough. Honestly

Male Dovii or Umbee couldn't even turn around in a 180. Smallest tank I would attempt a pair of either is something that's roughly 8x3x3 which is about 540 gallons.
