Here's my 29g at the start, then when it went to a Dutch style to now as a more nature scape.
At start: medium light, regular gravel, all easy plants.
Next change: high light, glut only, PPS-Pro, Flora Max substrate, medium level plants.
At present: high light, Pressurized CO2 & Glut, PPS-Pro, Eco Complete Fine substrate, medium and advanced plants.

I probably ended up spending $30-40 in all for plants. However the most of the plants just took some time to grow in. It took a few weeks until the plants started exploding with growth. Just keep up with the tank and your plan and your tank should look great.

This is my first ever tank. Began like this...

Some plants have had a trim. Others need it. My tank was set up early october and has changed a lot in its short life

Thanks mate ? i got a bit of work to do in the back left. Id like to rip out my crypt and replace with pogostemen erectus. Hoping that would hide my internal filter which i have decided to keep and run alongside my C2 HOB. Im going to pm you a question if you dot mind? S this topic can stay as tank shots rather than a Q&A session lol

love the tanks guys
OS i've been following your build thread just haven't had anything to say but your tank looks great.
Sk3lly love the dwarf hairgrass carpet i think it is probably one of my favorite carpeting plants

Learning as I go. The first picture is old tank decorations, replaced with a plastic plant forest and removed a lot of the white/pearl rocks.
