My star repens and algae have gone in cycles. BBA + Staghorn to GSA to hair algae. Currently algae free for the last month or so. I need to review my notes to see how I've stumbled upon this situation.

Hah! Found a speck of algae by the oto in the first pic! Seems as though he was in the process of clearing it so I guess it's cool.. that moss tree looks freaking perfect!

Thanks but your tank is also very nice.

I hate how my tank looks at the moment. Only because my rescape is looking amazing in my head lol

Nice photos! Did you get a new camera or something? Looks DSLR quality with the background blur. Nice diffuser too! I see the precursors to the 60p build in play ;)

Nope just a little clip on macro lens for my iphone. Not a bad little purchase right??

Id love a decent camera but im completely clueless on photography

Oh yes the 60p is very much alive, only its not. If you catch my drift lol. We're getting closer though.

Spent my evening dismantling two draws in my stand to make room for the electrics and eheim canister

Still needs a bit of work under there. Some holes drilling, bracing moved and new bracing added. Electrics need re arranging also

Took out the centre support brace for the unit and built a rough frame around the outside to strengthen. The unit draw fronts will be stuck on using velcro for now until i find a more permanent solution

Except the eheim spray bar or my lilly pipes dont fit on the stupid fluval tank because of the trim. So cant really get it seeded

You can just take the media out of your existing filter and stuff if in the ehiem. You can't just get the hoses into the aquarium for now? Save the nice hardware for the new setup?

Maybe i'll have another go later but because of the trim i can get the spraybar securely fixed. The plastic eheim intake is in and filter primed. Just the valve is shut off at the moment.

Thanks guys! Hope to be on more often as my strength improves. I rescaped my 29g to a low/medium light anudia & crypts tank with mostly livebearers. Much easier for me to keep maintained. Absolutely NO algae! Yea! I'll post a thread on it soon.
Hope all of you are doing well. Later, OS.
