I did find that out I added 3 cichlids to the cichlid tank a while ago the first to immediately refused to eat anything but bloodworms and soon died. The third started a fight and I didn't see him for a while. Was rearranging the clockwork later and I found his skeleton behind a rock in the back. Also I don't know if the cichlids and rainbows will work out, I woke up and found one rainbow dead.

These mbuna are aggressive and shouldn't be kept with the peacocks. The rainbows will be mbuna food and should be moved. The rope fish has no business with that stock either. The plecos are pretty big waste producers. Like I said, a lot going on here, borderline unethical based on your replies from this whole thread.

This sounds overstocked IMO. Also why let guppy fry be born just to be eaten, if you don't want babies keep just the males.

You stated that you "keep interesting" mixes of fish because you don't like keeping the same fish, well its more about what your fish need then what you find interesting. Good luck and listen to the more experienced keepers advice(others, me not so much) and keep in mind at 14 you may think you know it all but there is much to learn. Best of luck and maybe you can come up with a plan that will benefit your fish.

I keep bettas too and that sounds like stressful betta environment. How much flow is in the tank? My dragonscale attached below.

Let's take it one tank at a time.

10 gallon is overstocked but it is manageable.

40 gallon- this IMO is the primary focus that needs to be fixed. The Betta is like 80% of those problems. Rainbow Sharks are best suited in a semi aggressive aquarium.

The flow is in the opposite side of the tank at the top the Betta doesn't go near it.

I know people who have full grown peacock cichlids mbuna and Ropefish all fine together. And the Ropefish can fit in places smaller than the cichlids.

Cichlids are considered advanced fish for a reason. The wrong combo and you could end it in a bloodbath.

Peacocks and mbuna should not be mixed. Its disgusting your disregard for their well being. IDC who you have seen do it. Its not advised and that's why your being told by others. You don't have a clue kid.

Let's try to be nice so as to not get the mods on here. Peacocks and Mbuna are not "advised" to be together. It's not impossible, just not recommended... Peacocks and haps work most of the time.

I have heard of ropefish coexisting with cichlids, but again it's not recommended because the ropefish can get pretty beat up.

You can take our advise or not, it's your tank. We care about the well being of the fish I hope you do to. I'd set down and assess what needs to be changed about each tank.

Don't be sorry. We have provided accurate information to the best of our abilities and that's all we can do. It's his decision whether or not to accept the deficiencies in his tanks. We can sit back and laugh if a thread pops up in the future about problems though.

I'm sorry for not listening to you. It's just I have spent hours, days, weeks trying to find as much as I can about fish trying to be the best caretaker I could be and I denied your help because I refused to let it go to waste. I also waited 6 years to get cichlids because I new how difficult they could be and I gathered as much info as I could. So I have a suggestion how bout we just try to get along... for once. lol
