Very ingenious. What kind, color, etc? Right there it looks actinic color, lol.

Its a Maxi-Mini (Stichodactyla tapetum). Its has a grewn/yellow 'skirt' and a pink center. Not super fancy, but priced the same as the dull standard ones. I got a peek at it this morning before leaving for work and it has made its way to a zoa rock. Not sure where it will end up. This guy was extremely sticky! Alot more that the rock flower. So I imagine getting off a rock would fun.

Well the Mini-Maxi was buried in a colony of zoas that almost match it, which I find to be ironic. I'm not sure if the nem would hurt/sting the zoas. I figure they would sting just about any coral. I ended up moving it back to the rock to rethink his move. It actually is a fairly easy nem to move it seems. I'm really hoping it will stay in the sand of on/near that rock I placed it.

It's a good thing it moved to were it is now. Hopefully it stays. There was a mini maxi I wanted to buy a few weeks ago but didn't want it planting near any corals. I already have room at a premium to where my long tentacle and hairy mushrooms are going toe to toe. Mushroom looks to be winning for the record.

So I caught the Mini-Maxi last night mid way in the sand in the direction of those Zoanthids so I rerouted him and has been there since. Right on the rock wall near some acans, but in a decent spot. Here is a photo of it this morning along with a couple top shots of some recently added SPS that have been showing good polyp extension. I tried to get some good top shot of them but my coral viewer was making it awfully blurry. Not sure if I need to clean it with something or if its the micro scratches in it.

LOL. I've been watching mine like a hawk! Still hasn't moved from where it was this morning, so maybe its happy where its at. They have some pretty cool color varieties on the mini carpets out there.

Took some shots of the fish earlier. The Orchid Dottyback actually let me get a couple decent ones. Also got a full shot of my tank/stand/sump as well. :)

Thank you! That scull has been in the fuge since the beginning. From the old freshwater tank. It can be a scary place down there with the size of a few of those bristle worms! LOL. I have still never got stung by a bristle worm and I have plenty. A buddy of mine I get Coral/Fish from seems to get lit up everyday by them.

Tank Video

Tried to do a full 'top shot' video of the tank today. It didn't exactly go according to plan and the movie maker cut off the edges of the video giving it a 'zoomed in' look which I wasn't going for. But here is what I came up with. :)

So I have been noticing what looks to be brown hair algae/diatoms on my top rock that has my acros on it. Not sure what exactly is causing it but its only really on that rock. It is the closest rock to the light. Everything was in check last time I tested all the water parameters. I probably need to check it again. I did end up moving my blue sympodium to allow for more flow in the back of the tank (the rock it was on was blocking water flow in the back a little). I have one of my 3 powerheads blowing behind and deflecting off of the back glass behind the rock. The sympodium is now up front where it still has good light, plenty of flow, and a lot more viewable. I've also been debating on fragging this frog spawn and slighty modifying the right side of the tank. Not sure when I'm gonna do it though. Sometime soon I figure. Here are some photos I took this morning when the light came on.

The powerhead that pushes behind the rockwork. (Just tried this placement out the first time when I set up this tank. Seemed like a good idea for 3 powerheads)

It'll kill the algae off. I'd be very careful around the frags though. I've used an electric toothbrush dipped in a 1:10 peroxide solution to scrub at the stuff and it dies off. I prefer to be able to submerge rocks in the stuff though.
