Hello, so i bought this stuff recently and have a well planted aquarium, some of my plants have dark green small spots on the leaves and other leaves have holes, i posted another forum and someone said i should get something that has potash and some other nutrients, this is what i bought... Will it help and what does it do? Thanks

Fertilizer is good, but you also want to make sure your dissolved CO2 is high enough.

A Petco employee gave me a bunch of plants once because they were in rough shape and I mentioned something about nursing them back to health. Adding all of them at the same time made my carbonate hardness plummet.

There's a chart-- Google kh ph co2-- that will tell you how much dissolved CO2 you have from your pH and kH readings.

I have the Leaf Zone stuff. I don't know how I feel about it yet.

How do i use it like just dump it in middle of aquarium or into filter or into filter stream to spread it out?

Any of the above will do. It will eventually become distributed throughout the tank.
Before I switched to dry ferts, I used a combination of both API Leafzone and Seachem Flourish Comprehensive. For a carbon source, I used Seachem Flourish Excel (or simply, Excel). I later supplemented that with DIY CO2 (yeast based). Had great results. Lighting was lower to middle medium light.

EMMEDIATE HELP PLEASE i just changed my water and tested it and its looking way different than it did last week ?? What happened... Nitrate is at 80 ppm, nitrite 0, ph 6, kh 20 ppm, gh 20 ppm... Never had this before.. Maybe thats why fish are acting so different

Your pH is very low for the average community tank, your water is very hard, and your nitrates are very high. What kind of critters do you have?

Critters? For fish i got 1 red minor,4 guppies,2 mollies, 2 golden pencilfish, 2 glowtail tetras, 2 sword tails, 1 platty, 1 pleco, 1 angelfish, 1 tigerbarb, 1 dwarf guirami oh ya and 10ish mystery snails

It would be helpful to post the volume of the tank, filtration, water change schedule and amount, and what the parameters were LAST week.

My tank is 30 gallons i have a 30-60 gallon filter, i change about 25-30% of water weakly and last weeks parameters where
Nitrate 20
Nitrite 0
Ph 7.5
Kh 100
Gh 100
And i want to put in baking soda to raise ph how much do i put in

I dont know haha i want it to be above 7, i have many plants an angelfish a dwarf guirami a pleco a bunch of myatery snails some breeders and some tetras what should my ph about be

How long has it been since u did a big vac under ornament and cleaned the filter and pipes? I tend to get big nitrate spikes when my filter pipes get abit dirty and haven't vac'd the ornaments for a while. You'd be amazed at the amount of sludge that gets stuck in those pipes!

Also depending on what ferts your using it might be inaccurate due to the nitrates that u dose for plant consumption.

I clean the filter and all the pipes and the filters themselves and even the impeller and scrub everything with brush inside and out every 2 weeks about

Have u added anything different to the tank? Like ferts or anything?
