I agree !....people get upset with me and want to argue over this.....its silly...just like how many illness...parasites...disease...infections etc..could be avoid by doing weekly water changes...i do them and still have small problems that pop up...considering how many tanks i run...the percentage is low....not saying ur a bad fish keeper...IN ANY WAY..just using a example...with water....i just called my buddy who i known for 30 years and has over 55 years in fish keeping and he agreed with you....not checking up on you...just trying to learn...and pass on some beneficial information...never too old to learn....

Hummmm... I believe that Fish keeping is an art. So there should be no thumb rule for the art. It depends upon the person who is pursuing the hobby. It is only making my fish happy. If it looks healthy and growing as well as maintaining its colour that means whatever I'm doing is right whether it may be wrong to someone else or not.

Nice looking ram...;)
Glad to see some still appreciate a true dwarf cichlid when they see one...
Here's a couple of recent pictures from my fish room.....
First one of my breeding pairs of EBR that I recently sold...I have plenty more!

Next some of my GBR...

The two side by side...

How about one of my EBA !

I have kept AC before in my 135 , but I really enjoy the demeanor of the dwarf SA much more. You get more companion stocking options and ...
We got BLUE too!

Thank YOU...if ur ever in chicago look me up...i can take you to ten private breeders that has 50 plus tanks in their homes and NOT one of them use the same systems...similar...but different...that fact of the matter is their fish are reproducing...very healthy...and colors compared to none...so we are on the same song page...i hope people try and do different things or find out what works for them...

Wow beautiful fish...show quality...rams are starting to become VERY popular...not saying they weren't before..but i see alot of hobbyists selling these guys at auctions and swaps...iam always ask if i have any...i have many friends with these guys..so i just pass the people on to them...i appreciate just about all fish..i choose to breed rare and exotic african cichlids...but i would never say anything negative about other fish hobbyists...my daughters both do discus and community fish and my son does scavengers....you would think one of them would breed african cichlids...laughing....again their methods are different than mine...i will show some pictures1481209905839.jpg1481209927270.jpg1481209942059.jpg1481209957740.jpg

Look at this young Victorian***python island**...growing a small colony out...Victorians and west africa has been my new adventure the last 2 years

I've something in mind regarding to your tank that keeping those Shell can actually change the pH as well as hardness of your Aquarium water. I used to keep them in my tank just only for decoration purposes but I've found that the shells are change my water quality. In general, I've a hard water beside that, keeping those shells make my water more harder to be tolerated by my fishes. So I've removed those before it goes late. What do you think? If you ask me, I'll suggest you to remove them as early as possible even they look great in your tank. Sorry bro, this is the bitter truth.

No no no...never...i use them shells and dry rock...dead rock...plus put crush coral in womans nylons and put them in my filters...i want high p.h...for my african cichlids...plus the natural minerals are perfect for my tanks....its a win..win..structure..breeding caves...all postive stuff...my fish LOVE hardness and high..p.h.

Wow that's great. But in my locality, the water is hard enough. So I've to remove them though they are lookimg great in my tank. [emoji17] Never mind, I've just shared my opinion.

I encourage ur opinions...and anyone else's...my water is just above neutral so this helps

Sometimes there is really no right and wrong...just opinions....in the future..please feel free to state ur mind...i dont get upset...just a couple days ago...i posted my proven pair of neolamprologus brichardi and the guy said...rich ur heater looks fogged up and sure enuff i must have hit it while catching fish early that day...so iam glad she mention it..
