Some shots of the bumblebee catfish (I think this is the second set of half decent photo's I have managed to get this year). Tried to get his or her good side where not looking so fat :)

Lol, impulse auction buy what can I say. Sigh. Impressive when whole wafers disappear, generally still pretty shy and seems to get on ok with the bn catfish and loaches.

He's quick! Took about 5 goes on taking photos either side of tank. First lot were all of the tail disappearing back into the crypts.

I've decided to order some micro-measuring spoons. I'm adding extra nitrates just about daily now to try and keep up and really need to start measuring properly so I don't go over.

Had an argument with the loaches who don't like missing anything but too much bulk there for them. I think lost a little bit of weight as well.

Seems my narrow-leaf Java Fern isn't happy. The other side has faded a bit (I think fairly quickly) as well. I'm starting to wonder if it does tie in with ferts dosing and as usual, when I wonder that - have been a bit slap-happy on the dosing schedule. Sigh, back to the schedule.

You do have quite a high PAR, so I'd say that you have to be strict on fert dosing, which can be hindered by life in general at times. Microsorum is tough, it'll be flourishing again in no time!

Thanks! Hopefully so. I tend to get experimental some times instead of just changing one thing at a time. And low nitrates may not be helping - some tests less than 5ppm. I don't know which is sucking it up but going somewhere :)

I bought the micro-spoons today so that should help with dosing. Labelled as dash, smidgen, ect so hopefully a size I like in there.

Left the little plastic covers off around the canister filter pipes - hoping the young yoyo's haven't found the gap [emoji30]

Hope so - had a quick look with torch. Will check when I get home. Had been fairly careful but such bad experience with these yoyo's jumping in the past.

Little sneaks, hope all is well. I have the FX-5 canister in the 72G and the inflow is rather large about 2cm and the darn SAE kept trying to get in there to munch algae I guess. Could be where the one ended up - only have 3 of the 4 babies I originally had. (They are grown now though.)

Reckon! Another 6 months and hopefully they will get too big to try it. Fingers crossed! Just got to be careful with putting all covers back.

Converted to drain hose to bathtub pwc club [emoji3]. I know it's a waste and less exercise than buckets but it's almost finished while I'm just on a cup of coffee.

I found the hose has hardened a bit so flow better but have also found a good spot to sit it resting on an ornament - gets to that point and stops (more time on forum!). Flow rate is not as good but only getting a few leaves debris off plants (nothing like a net full before) and only really need to gravel vac a small part with plants growing out.

I use a glass magnet at the start to get a bit of flow going and lift up debris. Not sure I'm doing much but keeps me warm while the jug boils for coffee.

Very nice. My water on the 72G will empty with the turn of a valve, but 8-10 buckets later I am done refilling it. :( thre is a contant pwc system I want to do. Need more research though on how I want to do mine. From a drip line - treated water trash can with a pump and a doser for the Prime.

Definitely beats going outside in the cold in the morning with buckets [emoji16]

Although that gave me more time on plants so I pruned a bit and set up two flowers (hopefully they go ok and I'll get a photo). I thought the bolbitis had algae but some sort of deficiency / toxicity issue - a few little brown tips / pinholes towards edge of leaves. Nothing too major. It's definitely growing sideways happily so pruned a bit there.

The double flower isn't working out [emoji30] One looks great, the other is hardly doing anything. Oh, well - another stem on the way up. They just don't like water changes unfortunately.
