I am having to replace the endcap on my coralife 65w. ESU sent me the endcap and now I have to attach it to the ballast. Ok, I have the light fixture pulled apart; but, how do I open the ballast so I can replace...
I have adjusted the air-intake. I had cleaned the unit and accidentally changed that. . .so changed it back. That was about a month ago. Without any change. Then for it to make the weird noises last night and work until I turned it off to clean it. I looked over the manual for...
I have this skimmer for my tank; got from friend. Skimmer worked fine for a few months. One day stopped producing bubbles except for the very center tube (going to the collection cup); of course no waste product now. Well, last night a strange noise was coming from the sump. I woke up to find...
Thank you, Steve.
I thought that was what I was to be looking for; just on some of the pages it didn't look right (think they were displaying the square pin config).
Ordering one today.
thanks again.
I have a 48" Coralight double linear fixture (4-65w bulbs). I am down to using 3 bulbs because the "connector" where the pins from the bulb plug in is busted. Anyone know what this part is and/or if I can just replace that one part? Or do I have to get one of those light "kits"? I tried...
Well. . . .thank goodness didnt try anything to harsh. . . .Sketch is doing much better. Fins are almost 100% and his eye is almost all clear.
Thank you SO much. :D
Okay. . . . .
Changed 6 gallons last night, and another 6 gallons tonight. Trigger seems to be swimming around in open more.
Will update in 3-4 days.
Thank you for your help. Im sure my fishies appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
This is obviously the first time I have had a "sick" tank. And yes, I thought I might as well have a tank, no matter what. So, I will go with your suggestion and do water changes and see if that helps. Poor thing was really flashing this afternoon.
Thanks, I am doing a 15 gallon water change tonight. PLus, I am going to do the next to impossible. . .catch the trigger. I broke down and got a quarantine tank. . .I feel bad for the little bugger. I set it up tonight, so I am letting it filter and heat, probably put him in tomorrow.
I am...
Undulated Trigger. . .think had fin rot. (kinda milky clouds on fins, and some shreds). Now, he has one eye that is really cloudy and larger than his other eye.
Unfortunately i cant take pics cause he keeps hiding from me (so much for that "bad" guy attitude he is supposed to have). Plus...
Thank you for all your insight.
I'm going to get my testing kit back tonight and check the nitrates. Phosphates were under .3.
Mr. Puffer is just going to have to go on a diet (well no, he will resort to eating my hermit crabs). . .going to cut feeding back to 1x a day.
Installed other 2 PH...
As for additions to the tank to get rid of the algae, I continuously add hermit crabs. . .i think I have added about 40, and I think there are still about 10-15 (they are good hiders).
What about nudibrach or cucumbers? I know I can't add any other crabs. . .they will be eaten tried a light...
Maybe it is the Nitrates. . ..havent checked lately because friend borrowed testing kit and hasn't brought back :x , used to be at 0 though. I have about 110 lbs of LR. Tank is about 2 years old, but was moved to my care about 8 months ago.
And there I was thinking that SW wasn't bad. Never...
