    Clamping fins on young mollies.

1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.). Clamping dorsal and Anal fins and clamped tail. 2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give...

    Males or female

Sorry I thought you'd got your answer. You won't know until they breed IF they do that is because they usually have to establish loyal pairs. They are not easy to sex.

    Males or female

I thought angels need groups to establish loyal breeding pairs in the first place.

Can these fish be tank mates

I'd watch the smaller fish and shrimp with the angels and they need at least 5gallon and lots of height as they get very big quite quickly.

Can these fish be tank mates

I think even in a 20g they will still be nippy tbh. The reason schooling species need those numbers is because to them, it's safety in numbers. I really wouldn't attempt them with anything with flashy tails even Lyre tailed mollies are fancy enough for a tiger to take a nice chunk out of. There...

    Molly behaving weird!

I'd say shes definately pregnant. Her behaviour sounds just like a mother about to give birth to her spawn. Give her some time, keep the tank clean and keep an eye out for babies.

Can these fish be tank mates

You can usually be a bit leniant with school numbers with a lot of schooling fish but Tiger Barbs are aggressive when not kept in good numbers. I'd say no less than 8 to be on the safe side, 4 wouldn't be enough. Tigers are quite often fin nippers and if you have male guppies their tails will be...

    Betta addiction

Pretty boy! It's so easy to become addicted to bettas! I have 2 boys.

    baby lyre tail mollies

Survival rate has a few factors. Water quality, any other fish in there, parents occasionally eat their own young so it's a good idea to provide some thick plants for the babies to hide in or get a breeding trap to isolate them from their parents and of course there will be the odd weak baby who...

    Making a slate cave

Looks great! I'm a bit wary with slate because it can be a bit sharp and sometimes some injury can occur. A bit of sand paper can help to smooth them out :)

What size tank do a pair of pearl gouramis need

I have a pair of Opaline in my 180ltr (approx 47 us gallon). They are pretty active fish so it's worth having a heavily planted tank with a nice large footprint. Mine's 3.25 foot and 15inchs wide. They dominate the top of the tank so plenty of footprint rather than height to ballance out territory.

How does my Male to Female ratios sound?

General rule of thumb with mollies/platy etc is a 2 females to each male but the more females the better. Gourami I am pretty new to. 2 males together can be risky unless you have a big enough tank and enough plants for cover and to break line of sight. 1 female and 1 male usually does well, I...

    Molly behaving weird!

Did you clean the bog wood really well? If you have the chances are she's just investigating something new in her home. Whenever I get new plants my male molly becomes very suspicious of it, my male bettas are the same. They will tear, attack, flare and hide behind new things. If she's pregnant...

    Done with Neons

Me and my neons don't get along very well. I used to be pretty defensive of them but I've had nothing but issues with them. Their weak, nippy, they die without even the slightest water quality change... I am looking into Harleys or cherry barbs now. The larger tetras are always nice too. Or if...
