Following along. I love the dimensions of this tank. I upgraded to a 36" 90 gal (36x24x24) and I already want a 36" cube. Nice tank!!

I would go with the 2 tao's or equivalent of those. Like carey said the "name brand" led's have extras that you, and more imprtantly your corals, don't need. They will not grow your corals any faster/better than the tao's. You'll have more money for corals also. Can't go wrong with more coral...
That's the plan. Hopefully it ends up having some nice color to it. They had a real nice green mille colony, but I really didn't want to spend the $90 on it. Took this for $20. Hopefully it will end up being money well spent.
I grabbed this frag from my LFS yesterday. The guy working there said he didn't know what it was but it came in on a big dead colony so they fragged what looked alive. I took it to see what I could do with it. It looks like millepora to me. There is some polyp extension. Thoughts? I'm not too...
What have you done to lower the temp? You can try adding a small fan over the sump to move some air, obviously turn the thermostat down. Not that you won't need a chiller but I would try cheaper routes before spending the money on a chiller. Money better well spent on corals IMO
I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for a 40 gallon breeder. Preferably drilled. I'm living in CT and working in MA for now but will be moving back to MA in may. I'm trying to pick one up before then. Thanks.
