I've been really busy lately and haven't had found much time to relax and enjoy the aquarium. Luckily today I did but I did find some brown/black algae or dust on the rocks?¿ Haven't tried scrubbing it off or testing my water quality yet but is this some sort of dust deposit or algae?

I've had my blue guarami kill all my guppies. Some of them can be really mean. I'd honestly play it safe and wait a bit. Maybe add him in a quick temporarily quarantine to see how his personality is and then the first weeks really pay attention if he's showing signs of aggression.
