    Elecrtic blue jacks

Heres mine. Kind of an older pic and from my phone... he's currently about 5-6 inches. If i can get a better pic ill add it here. They are extremely sensitive fish, as others have mentioned, and few make it to adulthood. They are also generally not very common to find in lfs (at least in my...

    question bout jack dempsey fry

The parents will typically vigorously defend and protect their fry; however, with all the other dempseys in there, i would say that if you are wanting to keep the babies to remove them to a smaller tank. Maybe a five or ten gallon to start.

    What to feed Tiger oscar

How old/how big is it? Oscars can enjoy a wide variety of foods. Pellets of course are great. Bloodworms, brine shrimp, beefheart, shrimp pellets, live crickets or earthworms... they'll eat just about anything. I shy away from pet store feeder fish for a host of reasons, though. Also, in...

Try frozen bloodworms. All of mine go nuts for them. Heres one of my females with a new batch of fry, about a week old.

    Jack dempsey

Couple questions. How long have you had both jacks and what size were they both when you acquired them? Also, what other fish do you have in the tank with them, if any? Keep it up with the water changes, that always helps keep any fish healthy! I find that a greatly varied diet helps also...

    breeder tanks?

What exactly are breeder tanks? I keep hearing (for example) "40 gallon breeder tank. I just was wondering what that means, what the difference is between that and a normal tank, and if you are breeding fish, what are the advantages to having a breeder tank over a normal one. Thanks in advance
