is that so it doesn't change the ph? if it is would i just be able to test it in a container of water instead of buying a test kit? because i do have a ph test kit but not carbonate hardness.

ok looks like ill go for another light and co2, just wondering are those diy co2 setups easy?

the tank is a 39gal and it would be quite easy to add the light and co2, so do u think i should do it?

i was wondering if there is anything else i need to add to my planted tank? plants: vals corkscrev vals amazon sword water sprite a few unknowns will be getting: java moss type of anubas? Lighting: 2 24 watt power compacts adding a 28 watt pc if needed should i add more lighting and/or co2

i have ugfs on 2 of my tanks and i hate them, mostly because about every six months it breaks down for some reason and you have to fullt take apart the tank and clean everything.

i enjoyed reding that, a sequal would be pretty good

I have a female betta with a blue gourami and they are fine, i think i might depend on the individual fish though **edit**wrong spelling

blackworms are also good for carnivourus bottom feeders

i tried adding guppies to my tank with serpae tetras in it, it lasted less than 10 seconds. I'd be careful what you put in with serpaes they are nippy lil buggers

i would say that they'd be okay as long as the goldy is small because goldies will eat anything that fits in their mouth

that is a nice picture, it is green on my screen too. is it possible that your light is making it green, because i have heard that some lights can give out green light which will show up on a camera

i always use polystyrene foam, you can usually buy it where you buy your tank
