is that so it doesn't change the ph?
if it is would i just be able to test it in a container of water instead of buying a test kit? because i do have a ph test kit but not carbonate hardness.

i have ugfs on 2 of my tanks and i hate them, mostly because about every six months it breaks down for some reason and you have to fullt take apart the tank and clean everything.
i tried adding guppies to my tank with serpae tetras in it, it lasted less than 10 seconds. I'd be careful what you put in with serpaes they are nippy lil buggers
that is a nice picture, it is green on my screen too. is it possible that your light is making it green, because i have heard that some lights can give out green light which will show up on a camera
