Thanks for the reply. I assumed that nail polish remover or acetone would be too harsh to use on the outside of my tank. I also read that acetone would also be a solvent for acrylic so I was kind of hesitant to go that route.

I had to re-attach a frag to a piece of live rock and somehow I accidentally got some glue (cyanoacrylate) on the outside of my acrylic tank. On second thought, it's definitely a teddy bear crab (Polydectus cupulifer). Bad news is that other people have reported them eating their fish and that's it is definitely not reef safe...:(
