I think Parrots are pretty unpredictable- probably from being a mix. In my African tank, I have one Parrot that hides all day and one that is a bully.

I have a 2mo old 70gal Cichlid tank with a Gold Nugget Pleco. Problem is, I have this reddish-brown algae outbreak that the GNP seems to have zero interest in. I'd like to move him to my wife's 55gal community tank and get something more appropriate for mine. Whatcha think?

It's true, a smaller tank can stunt the growth of some fish- but it won't stop the growth. From what I've read, this doesn't apply to cichlids anyway, especially Oscars. Your Parrots will probably get around 10in each, but that will take a while. Your Oscar will keep growing. If his mouth is...

I had the same issue. Those are probably parasites. Raise your temp to 82 and they'll be gone in a couple of days. Remember, your Cichlids prefer and even require warm water. Keep it at 82 and they'll be happy!
