Thanks for the response.
After posting my question, I have also realised that the flow rate on the MJ1200 would not suffice.
Do you think this wavemaker design could be plumbed into the return from a sump? or would you keep it seperate?
Thanks again!
After having a look at the design on this site http://www.melevsreef.com/closedloop.html
I am thinking of building one of these, but was wondering if a maxijet 1200 would work in this setup. Not sure if the MJ can be out of the water as this would be.
Anyone know if my pump will work on this?
TIA
Thanks for the PH advice, although the BTA seems to be set in his location and that nothing is going to be moving him soon. He is not as close to the PH as the photo looks.
The clowns were wild caught.
Got the BTA from the LFS for £28.
As ogden10 said, stings affect different people differently. I had no problem at all with this one.
More good news is that second clown has joined and they seem to be having more fun than ever!
Hi All,

Comments welcome!

connected to my powerhead which I...
Thanks for the help.
I am basically waiting for the cycle to complete and will then top up the rock with LR.
Water sources is tap water, but I guess you figured that already!
Fish are quite hardy:
2X Domino Damsels
1 X Electric Blue Damsel
1 X Yellow Tail
I know the fish are agressive...
OK here we go:
Tank: 50 gallons Juwel Rio
No Live Rock
No skimmer yet
+- 20kg ocean rock
Filters:
Juwel tanks come with a built in in tank filter. These are running pads in my setup
Also an Ehiem ecco 2232 with bio balls and pads return via a spray bar
One Maxijet 1200 ph
Test kits are all...
