They just eat whatever scraps they find laying around the tank. Pretty sure you need to make sure you get a peppermint shrimp collected from Florida to be sure it will eat the Aptasia. Sent from my SM-G900V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

The freshwater will kill of most of the beneficial bacteria. The rock also will absorb the freshwater and release it back into the tank. Sent from my SM-G900V using Aquarium Advice mobile app
