Good news! My betta is finally better! I think it may have been the ammonia from adding the pleco without thinking, though none of the other fish seemed affected. Either way, after some lenient feeding, daily water changes, and some added aquarium salt and extra stress coat, he's doing great...

If I remember correctly, plecos are loners. Some can be territorial and aggressive as they grow. They also produce a lot of waste which is generally why even small ones like bristlenose need bigger tanks.

Well from my knowledge, Bristlenose are the smallest pleco and require about a 30gallon tank. I would go with Oto catfish or something like that.

I fed him two days ago I believe and he ate as usual. He always goes after the tetra flakes and spits them out before he goes for his pellets though. When I get home tonight I'm grabbing a water sample, feeding them, and going to my LFS. I really hope he's going to be alright. :(
