thanks! Hi, I would prefer white sand, but that sand is only £5 in the UK, so it's literally a fifth of the price of the white sand so thanks for the suggestion. I think I'll try to track down a good deal and white sand but if i can't soon I'll defiantly use that play sand.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from. If I bought them about as young as you can buy them from fish shops, from my memory they're no smaller than 2 inches?... How long would they take to get to large for my tank in your opinion?
