Legal? Illegal? Am I a felon?

Turn yourself in, man! Throw yourself on the mercy of the court!

    Cherry Barbs....

Yep. That's it. If you look in your moss you should have eggs. 1-2mm in size if they're like my Tigers. They scatter the eggs in there, and the eggs stick to the first thing they touch. They will eat the eggs if you don't separate them.

    Tiger Barb fry!

The eggs have hatched, but they are SO hard to find. That's one of the reasons I'm posting in here is to see what the experience of others has been. The fry were so tiny compared to the livebearers we've been used to, and they're basically transparent at this point. We're not sure we have...

    kitty litter substrates

I agree with Malkore if you're planning on messing with the tank a lot. I disagree with Simpte, my cat litter has never turned to mush or 'degraded'. That may have something to do with the quality of the clay granules used in the cat litter, I don't know. If you want an inexpensive substrate...

    Tiger Barb fry!

My wife and I have successfully bred our Tiger Barbs twice now. We lost the first batch, we're not sure why, but we had a heat failure that might have cooled down the tank too much. This second batch has JUST left their eggs. We dumped some infusoria into the tank, and added a safety factor...

    kitty litter substrates

Don't just go with the cheapest. Go with 100% clay untreated cat litter. MOST brands of cat litter are treated with deodorants, disinfectants, clumping agents, etc. IF you buy those, your fish will be dead shortly after introducing it into the tank. 100% clay cat litter. I have used it...

    Tiger barbs

Gouramis have always seemed to hold their own with barbs in my tanks.

    Mollies?

I agree. I keep 2 females with each male. Mollies like brackish water, so keep that in mind if they start seeming lethargic or ill. You'll have more babies than you know what to do with if you keep them happy water wise.

Mating dance results in death of male molly? HELP

Mollies like brackish water. I add ocean salt to my mollie tank, and they're MUCH happier with the salt than without. I add 2 heaping tablespoons per 10 gallons, and every fourth water change (25%) I add another 2 tablespoons. Not scientific, but my mollies are happier than ever and I...

    what to feed fry?

That's a great idea, DeFeKt. I've always purchased fry food. I might have to try your idea.

Krib fry and type of substrate

Your fry look great! It's awesome to have your fish reward your care like that.

    premature molly fry

The bottom fry doesn't look that underdeveloped to me.... I think you're going to have survivors. I just had a fancy guppy drop 24 fry. They're small too, but so far none of them have died. I think livebearers are pretty resilient as long as they can swim to food.

    air bubbles

The bubbles stick to my plants now during water changes. But the rest of the tank is bubble free.

    I'm Weird

Wow.... I've never heard that one before. It's more expensive than steak, so it's not like you're eating cheap.

    finally my plants are growing

Your doomed. Plants are just as addicting as fish, and will slowly consume your life. Get out now while you can! :) Now that you've got the bug, how long before you CO2 inject, buy incredibly expensive substrate, and start spouting off the names of the plants in Latin to impress your friends? ;)
