hi all new to this world of cichilds change dominant male in tank when u change tanks putting the baby in first and the the rest just silly ? thanx

can u put lava rock in a cichlid tank or as a filter media just a thought i had

so how big will the other ones get i understand they need a 55 but i can afford 1 i got a 30 gallon for few months why wont they be oh the only bout 3in now

i was miss informed when i both them told would be safe with a oscar and they wont take back all i got is a 30g

they in a 55g now the 2 blue fish are the same one just different views going to move to 30g

ya i kinda figured that out bout them being mixed i got a 55 gallon and its just the oscar and the other fish my oscar is bout 6 inch and the other is bout 4 if i dont have another tank to move anything any suggestions should i get another Pseudotropheus elongatus since they need to be in schools

i did the heat and some aquarium salt all reading i did said that this is better then putting in meds cause fish already stressed and the med will make it harder for them to breath i did the heat & salt for ten days had my tank bout 84 after all spots on him went away

what will happen if you mix south american cichlids and African cichlids i was told the one i put with my oscar was a south american one the more i look at it its got the looks of a Pseudotropheus elongatus was in a tank of mixed cichlids and a oscar in the tank at the lfs thanks jeff :fish1:

i would mine was same way and i filled it looked fine when it was full but thats alot of water to wonder bout if its gonna leak or not better safe then sorry its alot of wieght in there when fill all way :D

ick i got the same thing im trying the heat and salt method i read if you can see the ick on your fish meds wont work for what is in your fish now good luck demon

55 gal hi all been awhile since i had oscars my friend had to get rid of her s and i took them i was told a 55 would be good to house 2 oscars and a plocustous was i mis informed
