Well, the only thing I have running is two sponge filters, one on each side of the tank. It is a pretty strong airstone running the filters.

Ones having a moon light make any sense for a scarcely planted mbuna Malawi tank? I don't really care about the plants that much but does it benefit the fish in any way? If so, please explain the difference between moon light vs complete darkness.

I am not really set on java moss, I was just Trying to get the best and most O2 and nutrient rich water coming out of my filter output. I maintain constant water changes, I just wanted to improve on the filtration if I could

One more quick question, do you think I could increase the efficiency of my filter by putting java moss or some plants in the sump?
