I don't agree with the Firemouth - even at that size it should have *some* color. Also, the marking around the eye is wrong.. Does yours have any red at all under the gills, and along the belly back to the tail? Here's mine.. (male)

I kept them 3 in a 60 tall.. So, even though mine had 5 more gallons, if yours is a 55 regular, your footprint is WAY better.

Pictus cats are a *riot*. I have three. They don't hide during the day, they don't hide at night.. I don't think they even sleep. They just go sailing from one end of the tank to the other, straight over the top of anything that gets in their way, and they feed with the rest of my fish...

I name them all... Convict is Guido (she turned out to be a girl, but she's been very boy-like, so it stays.) Firemouth is Moby (cuz he/she's a ****) Jack Dempsey is Fluffy :cool: Green Severum is Sushi (she got chewed on her first 2 days in the tank) The Spotted Pictus are all named Steve...

The convicts are down to one - two have been rehomed in exchange for a Firemouth and Green Severum.

Not in the least.. Last fish I had that was sick had ich, and that was probably 20 years ago.. Sorry.. :( But what's wrong with it? You might be able to type symptoms and fish type in to Google, and get quite a few hits... Wetwebmedia is one that comes up an awful lot - he seems to know what...

Not so much as the fact that blues need warmer water and are not suitable in community tanks. Theyre better in species only tanks. Water changes are bigger and more frequent. They have a low tolerance for just about everything.

Your other fish should be fine... Blue rams are *very* picky about water quality, plants, etc. Bolivians are heartier.. Just as colorful, tho.. They get to be approx. 4", or so.. Blues hit 2-3"..

Severums and angelfish would work with heartier rams than the blue. Blues might be a little *too*...."wimpy". Severums need to be at least in 2's. Angels I thought were ok by themselves..

It depends on the type of fish you have... In some (like cichlids) higher temps can increase aggression, metabolism, etc. In other cases, nothing much happens, especially if you're within the range for your fish type, even if it's the high end of the range, so long as you're stable, and don't...

My suggestion would be to stop adding fish to your aquarium until you get it cleaned out and stabilized. Once it's been stabilized for a month, add one fish. Make sure that fish lives for 2 weeks, and add a second fish, and so on. I've never heard of multiple fish dying within an hour or so...
